Pamela

Pamela Molina (she/her) was born and raised in Chile, South America, where she became a leader in the movement for Deaf rights and sign language rights. With a Ford Foundation scholarship, she moved to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree in Disability Studies. She went on to spend more than 14 years working in disability rights and human rights with the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Washington, D.C. She later served for nearly five years as Executive Director of the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), a global organization advocating for the human and linguistic rights of Deaf people worldwide. Pamela was also directly involved in the drafting process of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).

With more than 18 years of experience in international human rights, disability justice, Deaf women’s rights, organizational leadership, and program management, Pamela brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to advancing equity, disability justice, and social transformation. As Executive Director of DOVE, she is excited to bring her experience and passion to supporting Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing survivors of violence on their healing journeys, supporting the team in its work, and strengthening the stability and sustainability of DOVE’s programs and services.

When she is not working, Pamela enjoys taking her orange tabby cat on walks in the mountains, photographing wildlife and scenic mountain views, and, at night, howling at the moon under Colorado’s mountain skies.
