Woranee
Woranee (she/her) was born and raised in Thailand, and orphaned for several years until she
moved to the USA after being officially adopted by hard-working parents. Woranee grew up living with a big family in rural area in Northern Colorado for over 2 decades. Woranee grew up learning, English, ESL, ASL, and oral communications which guided her to the Deaf community. Learning about Deaf culture and immersing in Deaf
community changed me, and made Woranee eager to provide support to others with similar life stories.
Woranee pursued a college education in Special Education and Social Work and has been involved in the non-profit sector for over 9 years. As the Survivor Support Specialist, Woranee is motivated to share her knowledge of in-state community resources with victims and survivors of Colorado.
As a Colorado Native, you will find Woranee outside a lot doing hobbies that she loves, driving around in the mountains, camping, hiking, and going out for walks with my furry and supportive husband. Being in the outdoors is a good form of self-care and wellness. Additionally, you can find Woranee exploring Colorado’s restaurant scene and attending various community events!
