DOVE Services During the Coronavirus Pandemic
The current situation with coronavirus is impacting many people in Colorado and across the world. DOVE continues to commit to keeping our hotline open 24/7 for calls from Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing victims and survivors of abuse in crisis.
To do our part in reducing the spread of coronavirus, please be aware that DOVE staff will temporarily be working remotely out of the office for a while. All policies and procedures related to client confidentiality will be the same, and will not change regardless of where we work. We are also reducing advocates’ time out in the community – for example, in-person client meetings, accompanying survivors to court, etc. – to preserve the health and safety of both our advocates and you, our community members.
If you have any concerns or questions about DOVE services during this time, feel free to reach out to any one of us. We know this pandemic has many negative impacts on the communities we serve, especially victims and survivors, and we will make every effort to continue providing accessible support for victims/survivors in Colorado. Thank you.
