Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment (DOVE) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to serving victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Colorado Deaf community. The Colorado Deaf community is a diverse community that includes those who identify as:
- hard of hearing
- Children of Deaf Adults (CODAs).
All of DOVE's direct advocacy services are completely free regardless of:
- gender identity
- sexual orientation
- religious affiliation
- income level.
We also provide community education, cultural competency training, technical assistance, and youth advocacy and prevention.
DOVE’s mission is to provide culturally accessible services that empower and offer hope to Deaf or hard of hearing individuals who experience abuse.
